Hello everyone! - this is in 3 sections so I hope your enjoy reading!
To begin with, my name is Kirsty lou, I am a young artist from the Manchester area currently studying Art in my third year at college and hoping to go on to study Sculpture in October next year down in London! My personal work revolves around an aware...ness of sexual abuse fueled by my own personal experiences to create artwork to which people can relate/understand abuse through in a fresh and enpowering way!
During this coming year, I plan to work with women and men who have been through similar situations in life to create a new powerful commisioned sculpture to communicate what we have been through, how it has effected us and those around us and most importantly, how we have pulled through it or in the process of doing so.
Kirsty Lou Jones Details as to a budget, how, when, where this is going to happen etc havnt been anywhere near finalised as yet to be 100% honest but I have bags of enthusiasm, ideas and motivation to see this through once I find a way! In terms of working outside college, I have recently been involved with an arts project with the V ...involved voluntery project, working in a disabilities day centre and am currently planning a new arts project with the team to be run in a Primary school in January/February this coming year which I cant wait for! I have worked on commisions before, but only wall murals and custom decorated belly casts which is miles away from what I want to do, but I think with support and persistence, this could be a very exciting and worthwhile opportunity for many to get involved in!

Whether you are involved with a support group/charity or not, everyones support in this will be much appreciated and all feedback/comments/questions/advice is welcome! Im working on getting a support group for the project on good ol' facebook very soon so keep tuned and spread the word!
